The city of festivals is back at it again this week, kicking off the weekend with Doaktown’s Salmon and Fiddlehead Festival! An annual tradition, dating back in one form or another to the 1940′s, this festival runs from Friday the 3rd to Monday the 6th. Come on up for a variety of activities, including live entertainment, a car show, many community meals featuring local delicacies and even a parade and fireworks display! The festival is a great chance to support the community, and have a great time too so come on out!
Starting Sunday the 5th is the 55th annual Miramichi Folksong Festival, the longest-running in Canada! All week at the Beaverbrook Kin Centre there will be shows put on by local talent. Stop by at one of the daily shows for some family-friendly entertainment, and a genuine Miramichi experiance!
